Amazon is throwing brick-and-mortar book establishments a lifeline by providing them with a 10 percent rebate on all Kindle books marketed on devices acquired in their establishments. The news arrives as retail and used book vendors face a decline in physical sales as consumers scoop up tablets, smartphones and e-readers to take in books in digital kind.

Even a lot more, now that the government has wrangled the publishers into providing fair, competitive rates, stores are facing even a lot more declining sales.
